Stardock is a piece of shit company

This is fucking horseshit. I paid full price for Object Dock Plus from Stardock. I had plopped down the $20 for the piece of software because I was customizing my desktop to emulate the Mac OS X GUI. Long story short, I decided to use it again and tried to download a copy of the software that I paid for. I had to go to their support section and enter in my email address, the one that used when I purchased it. Now, that email hasn’t changed, and I just entered it in as seen on the receipt that I printed out like a year ago. The site returns, telling me that my email address isn’t recog­nized. What the fuck? Here I am, with a hard-copy printed receipt. I gave it the benefit of the doubt: maybe I had changed my email address and forgot about it. So I tried every one of my email addresses, to no avail.

I’m pissed off as it is. I paid my $20, and I want access to my fucking software. I shouldn’t have to fucking ask for it. According to the website, it’s possible that my email wasn’t entered into the database correctly. And that’s a load of shit.

I email sales@stardock.com as they recom­mended, and guess what? I get an auto­mated email telling me that they normally take up to two business days to respond. What the fuck? I have to wait two fucking days for me to even get a shot at getting my software? The software that I fucking paid for already? What the fuck is the point of digital distri­b­ution if I have to wait?

To top it off, their holiday schedule is confusing as hell. I’m too pissed to take the time to fully comprehend their goddamned schedule, but at first glance, it looks like they’re taking a hell of a holiday.

* Support and Sales will not be present on November the 27^th or the 28^th for the Thanks­giving weekend.
* Support and Sales will be present on Monday December the 22^nd.
* Support and Sales will be present on Monday December the 29^th.
* Support and Sales will return to the office on January the 5^th to resume normal support duties.

Looks to me that they’re only working two fucking days in December. Very fucking nice.

This is absolutely unac­ceptable from a consumer stand­point. I paid for their goddamned software instead of pirating it like most people. And now, I get fucked. Why the hell should pirates get it easy? They get a nice keygen and can download it at will lickety split off BitTorrent. FUCK YOU STARDOCK.

Needless to say, I’m very fucking pissed about this horseshit. Being a good American, I think I ought to insist that I see some sort of compen­sation for their games.
