On Learning

Just a short obser­vation. People are incredibly sensitive nowadays. They cannot take constructive crit­icism and see any such comments as assaults on their char­acter. The virtue of humility is notably absent in much of American culture. There is no improvement in anything without the disso­lution of such pride and ego. The learning expe­rience is a humbling one, a process which too few take seriously.
