PDF searching made easy

30 Oct 2009 in thoughts  [print]

When searching for documents, I prefer PDFs. They’re easy to distribute and practically everybody can view them for free. And there’s no nasty macros either (well, at least I don’t think so) when you use PDFs. When I’m looking for an eBook, I’ll always get a PDF file over DOC files, RTF Rich Text documents, or God forbid a huge set of HTML files. That’s why this site seems to be a great little resource. Free PDF Search is a site that apparently returns ONLY PDF files. Honestly, it feels better than using Google’s filetype search operator. Plus, you get to see the latest searches that other people made. Perfect for voyeurism.
