Maybe I should move to Iceland

23 Jan 2010 in featured,thoughts  [print]

According to OKCupid, I should move to Iceland if I wanna find love. Or Massachusetts.

And apparently I should steer clear of Ukrainian and Egyptian women. Haha, I take this all with a grain of salt, but still.

Time to give some consideration to moving the hell out of New York. I never really did feel like I belonged, despite my efforts to plant some roots here. I grew up in New York City and have never lived anywhere else, and I’m the nesting type. Moving around doesn’t feel very much like my style, but hey, if something’s not working, why not try something else? I don’t know…something to think about.

Heh, quite right. Just a fun little tidbit though.

Interesting post, but I hope you know that was, apparently, another Gary.

He does seem quite right though, the percentage difference is quite small. I wouldn’t know if you’d succeed any better in Mass. than in NY.

Another observation, you seem to be getting matched with the liberal states more than the conservatives one. And more liberal countries than traditional ones.

Well, for one, that other ‘gary’ seemed to depart from your usual tone, so I assumed it was someone else. But oddly enough, we have a mysterious imposter on our hands, as that ‘gary’ posted using an email that includes your last name in it. The IP address is from RoadRunner in Rochester. I’ll let you figure it out, because I can’t lol

It’s none either than our mischevious old friend Sheng from Tech. Remember Sheng? He’s of the opinion that I’m obsessed with your blog.

Heh, sure do. I didn’t figure anybody our age would still engage in any silly tomfoolery.

Well, I’m just glad to see Estonia all lit up in green, not in blue. So you might still have hope if you’d just move here! Btw, has “My Estonia” arrived already? And you know, if it is, I DO wait for a review here in your blog.

Heh, maybe you should fix me up with a nice Estonian girl so I can have a reason to visit and check out your country :P

The book’s arrived, and it’s off to a great start. I like it so far, but I must admit that I haven’t read very much of it: I have such a huge backlog of reading material and so little time. And trust me, I will certainly write about it when I finish it: I’m sure I will have lots to connect with and lots to say!

BTW, we need to talk about your birthday!

Weeee… Birthday!
Btw, I totally just loved this automated email from your blog letting me know there are follow-up comments. It had your personal touch, hadn’t it?

Yup, I always try to personalize everything: I personalize my clothing, my blog, so why not the little emails it sends out?
